Welcome to the Master Index.

I don’t review products myself here, I just compile all the existing published standing desk reviews and standing desk converter reviews all in one place, to make it easier to sift out the most trusted reviews from all the detritus that comes up in a Google search such as magazine articles, Reddit comments, retailer listings, etc.

This site started out as a research project for my Masters in Social Science but it has taken on a life of its own and I’m trying my best to keep up with the constant influx of new stand-up desks and new stand-up desk reviews. That’s the short story. Click here to get the whole story of how I came to develop this first-of-it’s-kind site (as far as I know).

I’ve gotten a lot of compliments from readers who appreciated finding such a useful resource, and more feedback is always welcome (positive or negative, please don’t hold back). This is my first website and I’m not a graphic designer, as you can clearly see! I’m considering launching similar “Master Index of Reviews” websites in other product sectors, probably starting in other active workstation categories like desk cycles and treadmill desks, but I first want to make sure readers find the format useful and easy to navigate, so please contact me and tell me what you really think of it!

–UPDATE February 2019–I’ve decided to add treadmill desks to my compilation of reviews because they’re so closely related, really just being an office treadmill plus an adjustable-height desk in nature. Plus, several readers suggested it.
